Overview of the Role:
We have an exciting new role to involve community volunteers in the way Trafford Housing Trust invests money in the community.
As a THT Community Mentor you will be key to ensuring that our funding is accessible and investments responds to local needs. Working within a small team of committed volunteers and alongside THT’s capacity building team, you will help to find impactful projects and support people in applying for investment and monitoring the difference they make for the community.
What will I be doing?
  • Utilise your networks to promote THT’s funding model within the community.
  • Help identify individuals and groups with the potential to meet local needs.
  • Visit potential applicants and Mentor them in applying for investment.
  • Visit successful applicants to identify their ongoing support needs and Mentor them through the process of gathering information and completing reports to show their impact.
  • On average this will take 6-8 hours a month.
